Sportsworld Event

Boy did we feel alive when planning this event. On a day’s notice, we were brought on board to create a special, festive occasion for Sportsworld to say thank-you to all involved in the World Cup. The event was for 100 people, requiring DJ and entertainment, awesome food, cocktails, full bar and of course French champagne. Basically, the brief was to knock people’s socks off. With 24hours to pull it all together, it was a challenge and, of course, we were in our element.

What resulted was a sublime affair. The Westcliff Chef’s put together a killer menu that everybody dived into. Liquid Chefs quenched people’s thirsts and entertained with flaring and bar skills. Decor was comfy couches, ottomans, cocktail tables and my favourite, orchids. Colours were grey, black, silver and white. The venue was the Summer Terrace at The Westcliff, and being mid July it was bound to be chilly. Large braziers, mushroom heaters and fluffy blankets were arranged to keep guests warm. A Marimba Band, DJ and saxophonist entertained the VIP’s well into the night. People danced on the grass till the early hours of the morning. Quintin Mills did the photography. As a special touch, photographs were downloaded on the evening and looped on the plasmas for all to see immediately. Guests were so complimentary, Sugar has already secured more events of this nature from those who attended!
